She is buried Littlejohn Methodist Church Cemetary, Gamewell, Caldwell Co, North Carolina (Celia’s cemetary record indicates that her grandmother lived over 100 years of age)

Marriage bonds: recorded in Burke County, North Carolina on October 5, 1816. With the above birth dates, David would have been 20 and Viny (Lavina) would have been 23.

Events/Resources:
John W. Arney was born in North Carolina but went to Tennessee in boyhood and later came to Missouri and settled in Davies Co, with his brother David Arney. In the gold excitement of 1849, he crossed the plains with ox teams to California and was listed there in the 1852 California Census. He then returned to Tennessee for awhile, finally coming to Harrison County in 1862, where he bought forty acres in Fox Creek Township and later bought 100 additional acres where he lived until his death. During the Civil War he was with Company E, 23rd Missouri Infantry to two years. (source, excerpts from History of Harrison County, Missouri by George W. Wanamaker)
